Default non lt1 car issue

my bro has a 95 altima 4 cylinder that started making a weird noise earlier and we are trying to figure out what it is.

here is a video of the noise.

about 45 seconds into the video the noise becomes pretty apparent and it sounds like it is coming from the timing chain area of the motor.

i am thinking that the timing chain is getting loose and hitting the cover.

any ideas???

thanks.

Could be a lifter. My buddy had one. Biggest hunk of crap we ,did so much **** to that car to keep it running.
If the timing chaning is that lose, you have problems. Does it run fine otherwise?

How many miles are on it?

yeah it seems to run fine used to leak oil like crazy but that was cured by the valve cover gasket. 150k so it is probably time for a new set of chains anyway.
