Event was pretty fun. We got 5 runs in...which is 2 more than usual. Rain held out for the whole morning. Car ran well but I need practice. Too much power for such a tight track. I was very tail-happy. Never missed a gate or hit a cone though!

First run was a 46.xxx. I dropped 3 full seconds by the end of the runs. Results should be up in a couple days so I can find other comparable cars' times.

I ran my street tires. I think I was one of the few not on R-compounds. I was also one of the largest cars.

Some pix:

Mighty brave of you to go against the lil' cars in your CTS-V. I'm interested to hear how your time stacks up.

It's not really that I'm going up against them. Auto-X is a very class-competitive type of racing. Nobody assumes a 3850 lb Cadillac is going to handle better than a tiny little Miata on race rubber

Results are posted on http://www.wwscc.org/

Look in the RESULTS section for Jim's Detail, Understeer. I'm in the TOAM section. I had the 115th fastest time out of 140. My time isn't too bad considering the mass of my car. There was definitely another second I could have scrubbed off w/o trying too much harder. I'm sure with the right driver the V could have gotten sub-40s.

The Pontiac Solstices really impressed me. Bone stock (except for R-cmpds).
