Default Check Engine Light questions

Ever since my track day 1.5 wks ago I've had a recurring CEL. I just assumed it had something to do with oxygen sensors. Car seemed to fun just fine. Well, I finally got off my lazy bum and hooked up my code reader. It kinda surprised me:

P0171 - System too Lean (Bank 1)
P0332 - Knock Sensor 2 Circuit Low Input (Bank 2)

Does anyone know what this could be? Simple fix or dealership visit?

Thanks!

BTW, I've NEVER heard any knocking at all.

I am not sure about those ones, do you have a wideband on your car?

Knock Sensor retards engine timing and fuel trim I believe. Not sure they are related tho, seems it could be, but I would think the Bank 2 sensor would affect Bank 2, not Bank 1.
There are a few TSBs out for the P0171 System Too Lean, mostly to do with plugged injectors etc, I did a fast search and didn't see any that tied the two together.
But I am FAR from being a Tech.
I am sure one of the more knowledgeable guys will pipe up soon and give you a run down.

Someone suggested I check for leaks in the header gaskets...

+1 on checking the gaskets. I had the Knock Sensor code and it turned out to be oil getting into the sensor because the gasket was leaking. Fixed under warranty no problem.

As for the lean code, check your MAF and clamps on the intake maybe??? Perhaps something is coming loose and letting a little extra air in?

My dads van has thrown these codes and the MAF completely crapped out shortly after. Granted it is a 3400 V6, not a LS6, but still sensor related.

Have a scanner of any sorts? Maybe able to read if it is getting any KR at all or what your fuel trims are sitting around? The van would shoot up to 12 in KR in no time, LTFT were constantly 22+ (lean) and his maf wouldn't read about 5,600Hz. Old man didn't believe me when I told him his MAF was bad and he got a new fuel pump.

Car seem to run fine? Doesn't fall on its face at all going WOT does it?

I totally forgot about the MAF. I had that happened to my 01 Z28, the MAF **** itself.

Car runs great. I reset the CEL and it hasn't returned yet.
