Coil on Plug

I would contact a Ford dealer for stock units, but there are several 'upgrades' available like Granatelli improving volt output. Head over to out lethalperformance for products, but modularfords has a great forum for tech info as well as modularpowerhouse and SVTPerformance.

FWIW:
S197 = Chassis code for 05+ Mustangs, and I imagine the GT500 is using the same ignition system more or less the COP has been used on modular engines (OHC/DOHC) since 96.

Hehe, you guys are too easy to provoke. BTW, did I mention I own 2 Fords....

As for racing...bring it to the road course on 4/29 and I'd be happy to play. The only street 'stangs that pass me on the road course are Terminator Cobras. I suppose the newer Shelby's could as well, but I've never seen one try.

If you can turn, you're not going fast enough.

Spoken like a road course virgin.

Our #1 trap speed on the RunWhatYouBrung list is 138mph...in a straight line.

I get to power through turn 1 at 140+mph, maximum decelerate knowing I have to get down to 75mph in about 200' or run out of track, down-shift at the same time, then run around the rest of the course and do it again, and again, and again, until I am exhausted, the brakes are smoking, and the tires are melted!

It's like comparing 2 minutes with a ***** to your honeymoon...both can satisfy but one is sooooo much more than the other.

Just keep pushing through the straightaway a little further, a little further, oops, too far. Does insurance cover a Holden that gets wrecked on the race course? Try a Lotus next time.
