The show is in Pigeon Forge TN. It is about 45min west of Knoxville. I'm in Bowling Green Ky, and it takes me about 4hrs. to get there driving the speed limit. There will be all type's of cars there. No import's. Last time I went we saw slammed dually's, some pro-street 57's, jacked up trucks and anything in between. They will let about anything on the street that weekend to. I mean anything 
If you go you won't be disappointed. Also It will probably be one of the biggest used car lot's in the nation that weekend.

Actually, It is 45 miles east of Knoxville on 441 if that makes any difference to anyone. I live here and have 5 acres located one block off the parkway if anyone needs a free spot to park a trailer or anything. It is as previously said a blast and parking is a real issue. I have already parked my two cars on the parkway to insure I get a good spot. Let me know if I can help anyone. My cell is 865.850.8228.

Thanks for the parking offer. Me and my family stays in Gatlinburg and drives in and out for the show. I will be trailering my car up in the fall and will need a place to park my trailer as I have no room at the place we stay. If the offer is still open I would appreciate the spot and will be glad to pay you for it.
The weather and gathering was very nice this year. Seems the crowd is getting younger (*****, beads) or maybe I'm just getting older. Prices were crazier than normal but I didn't stick around Sunday for any bargain hunting.

If you all are going to Pigeon Forge, TN for either the Shades of the Past (Sept. 7-9) or the Fall Grand Rod Run (Sept. 15-17) it's ALWAYS a great weekend. Also I am with Absolute Paradise Mountain Cabin Rentals in Pigeon Forge. We offer awesome luxury cabins. Your cars will be safe at these cabins vs in a hotel parking lot. If you are interested call the reservations desk at 866-360-3130 or go to www.apmcabinrentals.com. The cabins are going to fill up fast. When you do call tell them Cat, that's me, told you to call and they'll give you a discount (just for you all though).

who all is going to the rod run on sept. 15-17? im thinking of going with some friends, like i did last time in april. i have to say, this show is HUGE. all kinds of cars that you would never see anywhere else. be ready to sit in traffic. and more cops you can shake a stick at.

Does anyone have a count on how many hot rods/people were there? It seems like there was a lot more than I remember in the past. We had a great time!
