Default thunder shootout are you legal????

to all you guys that are going with these gutted cars that run real fast are you going to be nhra legal i.e. cage,saftey equipment it would not be right to claim the rights to fastest ls1 if you dont have all the right equipment to make it fair to those that do

They are having tech. inspections there. While they might not make everyone adhere 100% to every NHRA rule, I can tell you that everyone will have to be legal for the ET's they are running.

And with minimum weights of 3200lbs for the Pro Outlaw and Pro Stock, and 3500lbs for the other heads up classes, you won't be seeing "gutted" cars there.

good i was just asking cause there are always those cars that show up to these events that are not legal and i would hate to see someone that played by the rules get taken by someone that does not... and with all the power adders nowa days it would be hard to tell until they BLAST down the track and say i got the fastest car blablabla <img border="0" alt="[fight]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_punch.gif" />

The BeaSSt, Harrison did a bad *** job on your cage. I think i am going to have him build mine this next week, because i saw how bad *** yours looked.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think that gutted cars are allowed to run in the heads up classes. (Not that this effects me. My car has the full interior minus the rear seats.)

I have a chromoly 10-point cage (it has a regular 6 point in it now) going in between now and then. There are a few other minor details to take care of too but no big deal. <img border="0" alt="[Burnout]" title="" src="graemlins/burnout.gif" />

100 % legal. I don't consider the car gutted, no holesaw action here. We will be at #3200-3250 with driver.
