Can you elaborate on that some, Joe? If I install a pair of collector inserts, they would probably be the Dynatech ones that incorporate a turndown on them, so you wouldn't be able to stick you head under the car and actually see the insert. They would be easily removeable, though.

OK guys here's the deal.... If I take a welding rod, put a 90 degree bend at the end of it and run up the pipe they better be something to stop it or you're out of there.....
Tony no problem as long as the exhaust passes thru the insert.

This one time, in band camp, I took a welding rod and... nevermind. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Embarrassed]" src="gr_emb.gif" />

Well, after all this trouble, I didn't like the way the Dynatech inserts sounded on the car. Way too loud. I stuck the Slowmasters back on it...

George,
Did they quieten it down much at all? I'm running bullets on my car and thought about using these to quiten it down a little more. Just don't want to waste money on something that doesn't help.

To me it sounded just like open headers. It may have cut the volume down some, but I haven't heard my car with open exhaust in quite awhile, so I can't say for sure.
I'll probably experiment with them some after the shootout... In any case, they don't make much of a difference, if any.
