Separating turn signal lens... bake or cut?

Separating turn signal lens... bake or cut? I need to separate the front camaro turn signal lens from the housing. I have two sets to play with. What is the best way, bake or a thin blade dremel?
I know a headlight you would bake, but the adhesive appears to be different on the turn signals.

Ohh nice that sounds interesting. I just took a look at my old factory amber lenses and I'd say either bake them or use a hot knife if you had one. Keeps us updated

They're actually laminated together. The housing and the lens were heated up and then pressed together to allow the plastic to melt together forming a bond. The only real way to separate them is to use a dremel and cut off the outer lens. Afterwards I suppose you could use some silicone and press them back together.

yea i have the same idea that you have, ive been wanting to get some clear corners for my t/a and put a white strip in them from seeing the audi's.
