Will an LS1 Transam Bumper be a direct bolt on LS1 Formula?
I know this is a dead horse. I’ve searched and I just get a bunch of threads about a LT1 to Ls1 front end conversion. I like the TA styling better than the formula styling. I know the TA bumper will bolt up to the formula, but are the bumper supports the same? The reason I ask is because the TA has the fog lights in the middle by the License plate. Do I have to get a TA front bumper support or will the fog light brackets mount to the formula bumper support?

the ta bumper support has holes in it for the fog lights.
i have done it havent put fog lights in yet, but there are brackets that sandwich between the fender and the bumper, for me when i tried using the formula brackets and there was a large gap between the fender and bumper. but the guy that bought my formula bumper said he had no problems, so that one may have just been on my car, other than that for the 98+ its a direct swap over

So are you saying the Formula bumper support has holes for the TA foglight brackets? I ask because I dont want to pull my bumper off if I still need to get the TA bumper support. This is my DD.

no the formula bumper does not have the fog holes
the trans am bumper support does, you can probably make the the holes in the formula bumper support and make it work though
and by bumper support i am talking about the styrafoam thing behind the front bumper

If the TA foglight brackets will bolt up to the formula metal bumper support, could you not install the bumper and then install the foglightsand foglight brackets later? Im asking because im putting a TA bumper on my formula as well.

Yeah and if its a Formula it has a W66 code. Really all that matters is the WS9 code tho showing that its a V8. I can understand a person wanting to make a Trans Am clone out of their Formula or making a WS6 clone out of either, they're both factory body kits appearance wise lol. And if they wanna slap some badges on there, go for it, the only difference is that it didnt come from the factory like that... and in all honesty.. barely anyone on here keeps their cars stock

Actually the foglight wiring stretched just fine. There was plenty of wiring. They just had it clipped to the body. Also, make sure u get the TA bumper foam, unless you want to cut holes in the Formula foam. FYI its a PITA to cut that foam. Get ur sawzall out.
