Default Stock Trans Am Hood Material

What is the stock Trans Am/Firebird hood made out of? Is the material fiberglass or metal?

The flat hood is metal and the Ram Air hood is some type of composite

Second! What's the rest of the body made of? My '99 Firehawk is kinda in a bad way: paint is chipping and peeling (in small patches, but on every body panel), and I wondered what it takes to get this car repainted.

Can it be wet sanded? Sand blasted? Phasers on stun?!? Or should I save myself the trouble and just get a fresh body kit and have it painted?

Thanks!

I went out to my care earlier today and I put a magnet on the hood and it stuck. So I will state that the stock hood is metal.

Daedelus: I know that the back quarter panel is also metal. I will check the other panels tomorrow.
