Can this combination be done with the hood still lining up properly? I know the R/A box is taller but I'm not sure of the clearance of the non R/A hood. I am hoping to replace the lousy aftermarket hood the car came with with a stock hood untill I can get the Raptor hood I really want since they can be had for dirt cheap.

I had a 97ws6 and I sold the factory ram air hood to a buddy that had a trans am , I used his stock hood for a while until I got my suncoast hood and the only way the hood would shut i had to take off the upper air box just leaving the filter exposed

if you go back to a stock lid it will work, not sure about aftermarket

That would definatly be a problem since the lid catches the air from the filter to go into the TB.

I have a very bad mock of the ws6 R/A hood that is warped in several places. It didn't sit right with the stock (non-R/A) box.

Forgive me for the ignorant question, but are you guys saying that a WS6 (Taller) Lower Air Box WILL FIT under a Raptor Hood? I'm in the process of installing my new Raptor Hood and would like to know if this ungrade is possible for the future. Thanks.
