Default Anyone paint the blackout panels under the LT1 body style headlight areas?

Mine have these unattractive areas bubbling up on the black panels in front of/underneath the headlights. Does anyone know of a tutorial on prepping that surface, what kind of paint on this plastic surface, etc?
If so, I'd love to hear about it.
Thanks!
Dave

have they been painted before?

I just scuffed mine with some 600, cleaned real well, and shot with some gloss black Krylon from Wally Martinez. I think I did 3-4 light coats with around 10-15 minutes between coats. Let it sit out in the sun for a full day and reinstall

only been a week but they look good

I have done lots of them. Here is a basic prep
Wash/clean with soap water, wax grease remover
sand with nothing finer than 600 or rougher than 400
wipe with the wax grease remover
Make sure all the "shine" is out.
continue until everything is dull
A good reminder is to go in about a 45 degree cross pattern to hide sand marks
There are several paints for plastics. It all depends on what you want to achieve and spend.
Prime if you want. I do but I am very detailed and dont want customers coming back. A little now saves a lot later.
paint 2-3 med wet coats allowing to flash in between.
Depending on what you are going for you can clear.
