Default Hood Questions!!
So, I have the opportunity to buy a Aero 3in Cowl hood for my 99z28..

I know the goodmark hoods and VFN hoods...

Whats your take on Aero Hoods?

Also, when they ship in gel coat how much extra prep work is there involved in getting it ready to paint...

Not sure of the quality of that hood but all you have to do is sand the e-coat primer with 320 grit or finer and put a sealer on it then paint it

well my buddies got it at his shop and the painter wanted to prime it and then bake it to bring out the inperfections and man it was loaded with them. It has bubbles and pits..

He is relaying some fiberglass on it and sanding agian today, this hood will have like 25 man hours in it....

Not worth it if it has 25 hours into it, keep looking for an oem or vfn
