The motor was a low mileage pullout. So I used purple degreaser and a scrub-brush. Got the crap off of it. Then scrubbed it with clean water to get the degreaser off. Let it dry for a day then taped it and hit it with DupliColor primer, then some of their 500 degree engine pain. Two coats of primer and two coats of color. Thats it. Same procedure with this engine also:

The only thing that I would see that would make it a real pain in the *** is all of the bolt holes and stud holes etc. You would have to go around and clean all of the thread holes on all of them because the powder gets down inside of them.

Not if you have a quality shop do the work. They make plugs that the powdercoater puts into all the threaded holes and holes that the coating would cause problems. Then you never have to worry about powdercoat in threaded holes and such.

I would use metal tape to cover anything that needed to be covered iv got a 360 degree view of an lsx block and can follow whats coverd im just worried bout the heat in oven. Then I would dip it again to make shure no powder is in it anywere.
