Default Help with new ss hood.

Ok so I bought this ss hood for my lt1 camaro,I couldnt pass it up it was only 100 dollars. I think its the 98-02 ss hood scoop style,so anyways I put it on and the driver side part where it meets the headlight bucket was sticking up. I did a search and found that video on youtube on how to install the vfn hood and did everything it told me too including aligning the hinges by drilling out the holes. It still sticks up on the drivers side and Im really tired so if anyone has any suggestions that would help thanks? I also wanted to know would using hood pins fix this problem or would it crack the fiberglass?Sorry for the long post but I really want to get this fixed if possible.

Most aftermarket hoods have fitment issues. Mine did the exact same thing just try making minor adjustments to the fenders and the little rubber stoppers that the hood closes on and get it as close as possible. Remember you're your own worst critic so whatever you see that bothers you others probably would never notice!

Will do when I can, but I was thinking if hood pins would solve this problem because I took off the hood stops from both sides off and it still sticks up
