Default custom black colors....

Entertaining the idea of holding off on a c/h/i 6.0 and doing a paint job...what are some badass custom black colors? I have heard of black diamond but never have seen pics.. I have always been into custom orange colors but black is so Damn sexy its all my pickups fault...never should have bought a black truck lol

There's several different factory colors that every car maker has that are black matalic/pearl colors you can look at them at a paint store or body shop,GM has a new one called carbon flash or something, they put it on vettes,n a few other vehicles I'll look up the paint code tommorrow at work,it's the most metallic black I've seen it looks pretty cool IMO

compared to the shine and depth of a straight black paint job, it looks dirty.

Isn't it Cadillac that came out with the new black color? I believe it is called diamond black, too.

Saw a part that was painted that color on a new CTS-V on "OCC- Senior vs Junior" last night. That black really looked amazing.

I was thinking of doing a matte black or carbon black, whatever you want to call it, but I heard there is more to it than just painting it on. I was told the best matte black kit on the market was from DuPont - a paint and special sealer.

Tuxedo Black is a really nice color, but there is so much flake at times it looks like a super dark charcoal.

Subaru has a Java Black they used on their STi, it has lot of gold flake in it that looks pretty good as well

I have personally researched the hell out of this as well!! My favorites are the carbon flash metallic (as above) featured on the 2012 centennial corvette (google it, its sexy) and the new black diamond tri-coat used on the 2011 cts-v black diamond edition.. It's sick as hell in person, but even Cadillac charges extra for it if u buy a cts-v from the factory so god knows how much it would cost aftermarket for a tri coat paint job with that stuff.. I'm going with carbon flash myself next month!

yeah, it's weird having black without the depth. For my next t/a I'll probably paint it matte black and get gloss black stripes.
