Bought car with same problem and used same 2x4 and hammer fix. Like brand new money now. What is it with these cars(Chevy) and this problem. My brackets were bent all to ****, had a major bulge,, no tellin now!

Just bought this car, the passangers side doesnt look too bad - but this is what I found on the drivers side!


Any ideas on how would I go about straightening this one out??

get a prybar, screw driver, chisel... anything that will fit in there to bend it out enough to get a crescent wrench on it or enough area to get a hammer after it & go to work.

But you have to have some self control because these things will snap right off then you got a bigger problem**
