What's the best way to lay side stripes on a cowl hood?
I wanna do some final appearance mods this winter and get myself a cowl hood for the Z28.
I'd have the hood painted silver at the body shop to match the car, but I'd want satin black stripes along the sides to match the headlight buckets and berger panel.
I see two options;
1. Having the stripes painted on at the body shop
2. Having custom stripes made (out of whatever material that stuff is made out of)
With #1, since I don't want clear over the satin paint (I assume?), will there not be an edge in the paint you can see or feel with your hands?

You can get them here in vinyl. They are the Dick Harrell cowl stripes. They are only 30.00 and are good material. I bought some from him.

Yes i did. They are actually for the 98-02 sunoco hood. I had to cut and modify them a bit for my Glastek hood. They are not on the car in the sig at the time the pic was taken. They could be cut a bit also for the ASCD hood you are getting. For 30.00 what is there to lose.
