Default Finished painting my 98 z28 y3f

Hey guys
This is my first paint job with basecoat/clearcoat, and only my 2nd paintjob in my life. It's taken me about 3 months to get the body work done and finish the paint. i've lurked alot on this website and online to learn alot about what to do. I had to weld/fill the quarters where the factory gm spoiler had holes... All in all though i am very pleased with my final result let me know what you guys think! i havent been able to find a y3f car with the ss options.

Y3F is a option code,,,the Y3F code means it came with the ground effects from the factory and a different rear spoiler also.

By the way I would love to repaint mine,,it doesn't have any body damage,,,but mine is Black which from what I hear isn't the easiest color to lay down.

Great job by the way it looks good.

Why didn't you fill the front grill mounting holes? Looks great though, except for the yellowed headlights.

Thanks guys, I definitely put a ton of work in to this, I've probably texted 50+ people pictures of it because im so proud.. lol

I was contemplating filling the front holes but after all the work i did in the quarts/door/hatch area i guess i was getting kinda tired and just ready to paint it. I do have a billet grill, but i think i like the look without it.

I already polished the headlights since the pictures, they are clear now, I'm not really a big fan of the whistler look or the halo's. I just like a clean factory look for some reason. I actually had halo's prior to the factory lights i have now, The fitment of them was terrible and even with hid's you couldnt see anything at night with them.

The white z28 is actually my brothers camaro, he dropped it off the following week of me finishing, he wants his redone with ss equipment as well lol.

Looks good from the pictures. I like that GFX package.

If you sanded/buffed your head lights make sure you put some clear on them or they will yellow again quickly.

y3f is the pro code for the gfx. got lucky about 5-6 years ago and bought all the gfx for 50 bucks then sold for near 600...
