Previous owner painted interior pieces...opinions (PICS)
I just picked up this WS6 trans am and the previous owner really loved his paint and painted some of the interior and exterior pieces red. I dont really like the red so I'm going to paint them back to black.
How am I supposed to take the interior pieces off? Do all of them just pop off with a flathead?
What is the best way to make them look original again? Do I just spray some duplicolor on it?

If it were my car I'd just paint them temporarily until I got new interior pieces. It's never going to match the rest of the interior. Hopefully you saved enough money buying this car over a normal interior car to get some new pieces. There's a lot of cars being parted out in the for sale section, try that first. Maybe you can even get a deal for a package of all the pieces you need.
Either way, get pictures of the black painted pieces once you do that. No need to primer, just scuff with scotchbrite and clean them well.

And ketchup. Always with the ketchup...
Awesome.
I'd sand off all the texture for the interior parts and paint them gloss black (piano black) for a nice slick look. It will take some work, but it will look cool instead of tacky. Start with 220 dry if there's a lot of texture and go to 320 wet, up to 400 or 600 wet. If there's patchiness (such as the pits I see in the armrest area), you can prime to get a consistent surface. If you don't use a rattle can, it should actually be pretty durable with a clear coat. I'm not a paint expert by any stretch of the imagination, so feel free to get some tips from others. The exterior trim, I'd just replace. You could do some of that [satin] "chrome" like rattle can stuff to cover it up. But your ram air grills are already cracked, so you can just replace. I think they actually sell real metal pieces you can replace those with, which look pretty nice on a black car.

yuck as ****!
I honestly wouldn't repaint them with a spray, it won't look right.
Plastidip is as temporary as you want it, it'll last as long as you want if you install it correctly and don't scratch at it.
Spray the pieces, let them fully dry, and be very careful when installing them so it doesn't start to peel.
If anything is held on with screws, DO NOT SPRAY THERE, IT WILL PEEL.
Cheap and quick solution would be plastidip IMO, it will have a better texture than a regular rattle can.
Maybe look into an interior dye thats more of a brush on to get closer to the factory look?
Other than that, just buy new pieces.
