I just picked up an aftermarket hood for my '95. It didn't come with the hood strut mounts/hinge brackets ect on it, so I am wanting to re-use the ones off my factory hood. The hood strut brackets and hood latch went on fine, but on the hinge brackets (in the back corners of the hood) there are "fingers" that come off the bracket itself.

On the factory hood, there was holes of these fingers, but on the aftermarket hood, there is not. Should I just use a dremel and cut the fingers off, or is there something else I should do? Just wondering if anyone else has run into this.
