why not go all out and swap a 98-02 front end on it too. you need the front clip basicly but i like the newer body trans am much better

all he needs for the front is the bumper cover and the brackets that attatch the ground effects to the front fenders.

98-02 conversion is much more involved than a 92-97 TA conversion. However, for the price to get a bumper, side skirts, rear bumper, hatch/spoiler, fog lights, and all the brackets you need, I'd probably just sell the V6 and buy a 93-97 TA.

i just said that because in my area at least its alot easier to find a 98-02 formula or T/A in a junkyard than an LT1 car. i know of about 4 being parted out off the to of my head

Not really wanting to dress a 96 as a ls1. My car already has a ram air hood 17 inch ws6 rims with 275 's Mickey thompsons on the back. Trans am rear bumper spoiler, black leather interior, t top conversion, radio antenna delete in back. And a cat less magnaflow cat back exhaust. I have a lt1 siting on a stand I am just trying to get done with all the body work first. And have had no luck at all with a 93-97 bumper.
Car-$1500
Leather interior-$400
T top conversion- $250
Hood-$300
Wheels sold originals localy-450 bought ws6 450-$0.00
Rear Bumper and spoiler-$150
Primer-Paint-Bondo-$500
Magnaflow used-$175
Lt1 with 37k miles-$800
And blood sweat and tears
So I am only about $4300 total into it.

A decent 93-97 trans am around with over 100k miles $5500 in my area.

I really just need a bumper to complete this project! Does anyone know anyone that has one the cheaper the better, I can fiberglass and bondo, I have personally done all the work to my car, body, paint, engine, exhaust welding, everything.

www.car-part.com or ebay are usually your best bets. Classifieds on here as well

Theres a guy on http://www.LTXTech.com/ selling the entire front end off a 93-93 Trans Am or 150 bucks. That's both fenders, hood, bumper and the headlight lids.

Here it is, http://ltxtech.com/forums/showthread...74-fbody-stuff

I bought my formula in 2001 and always loved the looks of the "trans am's" so I slowly converted my car over. Just before Christmas I bought a OEM ram air hood and front nose to finish my car off and cant wait to put them on. Just look around and you will be able to find the parts for your car and everything bolts up no problem!

Crappy pic from when I got it:

Thanks, It has come a long way for sure. I have the old bumper off the car now and will be putting the new one on very soon. Just a tip on the side skirts when you do them, They come with a whole bunch of clips on the side skirts that you would have to drill holes in the body of the car but i removed all the clips and used 3m 2 sided tape and they have been holding up great for 3 years now. Good luck finding all the parts that you are looking for
