Going to try Hard Top Roofs ONE MORE TIME... Step up if you want one!
We tried this before and no one actually ordered any. Our t-top sail panels however are going really well now that we make them in states private labeled through RK Sport.
That being said, we still get e-mails wanting hard tops. Well, here's your chance...
The mold costs are close to $10,000. RK said if we can get 10 pre-orders they will share the cost with us.
We're willing to invest $5k in it, we're not willing to invest $10k in it (we simply don't have it).
SO, if you want one, order NOW and if we hit ten by the time we are back from SEMA (week and a half from now) then we move forward.
It only takes a week to make a mold and the first piece. After that it takes a day per part. Long story short, order this week and you will have the roof within the month.
These are BETTER than OEM quality, even the same thickness as OEM, you will NOT be disappointed!!!
They are BIG so they are expensive. Fiberglass is $800 and $200 to ship within the 48 states, Carbon Fiber is $1500 and $200 to ship within the 48 states.
Again though, quality doesn't get better than this. A full day is spent on each fiberglass piece and two days on each Carbon Fiber piece (6 hours of hand polishing the Marine Quality non yellowing clear coat resin alone).
Order the Fiberglass here...

I would love to finally see this go through and get some more bubbling hard tops off of these cars. I'd be the first one signed up(like last time!) if I didn't just replace mine.
Good luck!

a tasteful unique firebird spoiler would be nice, SLP iroc style is nice but rare and I second the lower seat foam if I didn't just get Recaro's. Hard top cars are very few and far between...hard to market...

times are hard.
We get a republican back in office to turn this economy around it'll boost peoples confidence to spend more money on non essential items. I'd love to buy a bunch of pretty shiny ****, but it is what it is. Gotta eat..

Unfortunately a direct injection mold to make that would be ASTRONOMICALLY priced...
Also, every 1998 1/2 -2002 F-body hardtop owner LITERALLY needs the roof replaced yet we only have sold ONE so we definitely wouldn't make any more investments like this anytime soon lol.
We're moving on to putting money into Vette stuff and G8s.

Are these hard tops still a possibility? I want one, but was waiting a little bit to be more stable, financially. If it turns out that it's close to 'make or break', then I'll go ahead and order it up.
