I've had 2 VFN hoods, both fit great I am very happy with the fit of both. They've both come black gel coat.

I had the Sunoco bolt-on

Now the extended wide Sunoco

Hey thanks. Would you say the gel coat looks nice enough to drive around with until paint?

I've driven around with both hoods unpainted.

I had a vfn hood in the past. It lined up good and I had no complaints.

the black finish is fine to drive around with but by no means does it look nice, just looks like a unpainted hood lol

I want a VFN 4" ram air hood. I'm going to try to trade my OE ram air hood for one. Good to hear they fit so well.

I disagree, it might take some work but a professional can get one to fit as good as stock. (Not my car just picture from internet)

I would think that installing the hood would be something you could do yourself. Am I wrong thinking this?

I was supposed to get my sunoco vfn hood yesterday but it looks like the shipping company lost it. I don't know how someone loses a big item like a hood.
