I have used the harbor freight help spray guns. I buy one for primer, one for color and one for clear. Clean them in between coats then throw them away.

I've painted 3 different projects with they're spray guns. Try work great! And I get great results.

I've used nothing but SATA guns in the past but mine broke, so I bought An HF gun in a pinch.

I'll never buy an expensive gun again, I'll buy those then throw them away.

What size compressor do you have? CFM at 90psi and 40psi? What are you painting? What type of paint do you plan to use? Solid? Metallic? Single stage? Basecoat/Clearcoat?

It's a 20g unit. Just some car parts. Not body panels Possibly metallic & yes clear as well.

Depending on what you consider inexpensive, I agree with above. I have used the HF guns a lot, but I also really like my DeVibliss.

I really like the Devilbiss Startingline and Finishline series. I own about 5-6 from those series and also they are a solid HVLP for the cost. I also have a few Sata conventional guns, the HVLP is easier and more efficient to use as conventional only gets about 30% on the surface you're painting and 70% is wasted in the atmosphere. But I like those two brands as its what my experience is and I have been painting cars, motorcycles and planes for 15yrs.
