Default Help with rear quater panel damage

Hi recently someone ran into my car and put a dent in the rear quater panel so I took it to a collision shop they quoted me $1800 which I think is ridiculous!!!!! Any one in th Buffalo NY region that might be able to help me out thanks!

Good paint/body work is expensive. You get what you pay for. $1800 seems about right to me to do a good job.

cut out the fender
weld in a new fender
paint the fender and probably the door/bumper/trunk to blend

$1800 seems right for your average body shop.

Yeah, for that price nothing is getting cut or welded. It doesn't need to be anyways. And straight black isn't going to be blended.

ummmmm no, the last thing you wana do is start cutting out QUARTER not fender, and you don't blend on straight black.

hopefully you never do body work

Got hit in the same exact spot once, whole panel had to be replaced. Cost his insurance right around 5300 to replace/paint ect.
