Default Smoothing out a cast aluminium intake manifold filler/paint Q

Has any one attempted to smooth out a cast aluminium intake manifold like a edelbrock ProFlo XT with maybe a mill or belt sander and some of the tough areas usr a dremel and usr some good body filler to get a super smooth finish and spray it with automotive paint. Will this even work? I've searched for it being done but can't find anything. Thanks

There's been many people that have taken an intake and polished it to a shiny finish. I don't see a reason why you couldn't paint them. It's a lot of work to get into the little crevices.

Not exactly smooth intakes but can be done. It just takes time to do it right. I've done numerous intakes aluminum and plastic. Only comes out as good as you smooth them out.
