Default how to paint a fast 90mm intake?

my fast 90mm intake is off the car. id luv to paint it, but have no clue how to do it. i hate that sihtty grey color. do a use a spray can? do i have to put a primer coat on? id like to paint it maybe glossy black, not sure. any help would be great. thanks pat
