Default Can you clear too much?

I'm about to clear my painted lid and FRCs and I want them to be extremely shiny and durable. Can I put too many coats? How many coats is too much?

With paint, more is not always better especially with the modern urethane paints. All it does it promote slow curing and better chances or chips and paint failure.
