Default new paint wish's for decals-how long

How long should I wait for the paint to cure so I can slap some black bird stripes on my hood?

im no expert by any means ...so wait for someone that knows more about the subject to answer...that being said we waited 2 weeks before we washed my buddies car and put his blackbird stripes....since then he has changed the stripes 2 times and there is no marks or blemishes in the paint... my .02

My paint manufacturer say to wait at least 24 hours for applying decals. When I painted my car I waited for 2 weeks or so before I put on my anniversary stripes. It wont hurt anything to wait if you want to, but I do reccomend checking with the paint company to see what they say.

If it's been buffed you should be just fine.
