This is my first post on ls1tech and I was wondering what it would cost approx to paint a LS1 hugger orange. I am still in the process of looking for a LS1 Camaro but I know I want a hugger orange 6speed t-top. Anyways I was wondering what it would cost to to a total repaint on a car. I know I can do it myself for about $1,000 but I dont have really have the place or time to do it. I am going to a community college and I am majoring in Auto body repair, but our instructors haven't really gone over pricing. So next time I have class, I am going to see what it would cost for them to paint it.

u answered your own question thanx . well welcome ! Price depends on the shop and the materials used . 1400-2000 for nice paint jos with good materials sound bout right.

count on 2k for materials...thats if you go with good stuff. my buddy just bought a pint of paint for his hugger orange camaro to repaint his bumper and that ran him about 80 dollars for PPG. it is a pretty pricy color but count on around 2,000

house of kolor ( www.hokpaint.com ) has hugger orange paint which will be going on my chevelle soon. 1 gallon is right around $100. Pretty cheap and excellent paint. If you bought the paint yourself im sure you get have it done a little on the cheap side. It would still be alot cheaper than if you didnt already have the paint.
