Default Power Window motors

I heard they don't like hot weather.
Mine is working intermittently.
If I replace it with a new unit has GM updated the new motors to with stand the heat?
Thanks

I really don't believe the heat issue, the new updated version should work fine.

just get dorman motors off summit. i needed to replace mine because they both were completely out. through our local dealer, the window motors were about 270 bucks each! so my guess is your local dealer will also be expensive...

the dorman window motors on summit cost 50 bucks each. i got those and my windows now go up like they would on a brand new car. they are universal and there is no specific side they need to go on.

here's the part # RNB-742-101

i just replaced both of mine with somewhat cheap motors a couple months ago and they are holding up fine so far. if you do replace them be sure to put a relay on the passenger side to give it more juice.
