Kinda stuck for underhood paint
I have the motor involuntarilly removed from my black SS. Unfortuantely, I am in Germany and am having a hard time finding a paint supply store. I want to get a very good finish and would like to find out if it can come from a can.
I plan on spraying everything that I can get to with a gloss black and then clearing it with more canned stuff. Will a canned clear yellow over time?
Will it survive and look decent if I go slow enough?
Please post pics of any rattle can jobs from under the hood.

You may want to try POR 15. There are two different choices in the gloss Black, one is UV resistant, the other is not. Stuff dries to a powdercoat like finish and is chip resistant.

I just did mine today and used Duplicolor silver and their top coat clear. If you use black, I don't think you will see the clear coat turn yellow. Also remember that for the most part, your hood will be shut and away from uv rays.

ALEX41- You engine bay looks good. Did you use the same paint on your lwer airbox. Also, where did you get that cover from that is over your windshield washer fluid?
Give POR a try...they have clear called Pelucid that is now in a can. It is suppose to dry rock hard and never "yellow". UV safe too.
