Default eBay paint advice needed

Ok here's the deal: I successfully rattle-canned my front bumper cover about 4 months ago. Last week I took it off to touch it up because there were some rock chips. Long story short, it's not turning out so good this time and I just want to stop the bleeding.

I noticed that the eBay seller that I bought the bumper from the first time also offers a painting service. They guarantee a color match by VIN # and they make it sound professional. Is this something I should consider? It would be $277 shipped for a new bumper painted and everything. Any advice would be appreciated, thanks.

It WILL not be an exact match as your car. Your pain will fade over time, and the only way for it to match up with the rest of your car is to have them blend it in with other body pannels. It will most likely be a pretty close match, but you would still be able to tell its not an exact match.

You are better off taking it to a body shop and having them paint your bumper and blend it in with the hood and fenders.

What about quality? Even if it is not an EXACT match, you think the quality would be ok?

It will probably last you a little while. Its going to depend on what kind of abuse you put it through.

Do not go ebay for painted bumpers. I did it. looked like ****. Also they are not OEM bumpers, they are some **** made in china and it looks fucked up when you look at it. go to www.newgmparts.com or something and order an OEM bumper cover, take it to your shop and have it painted
