Default installing front end body parts from 96 to 98 ?

what all is involved in swapping the front end [nose and fenders] over from a 96 firebird to a 98 up trans am. or can you leave the fenders alone and just replace the nose from a 98 up

Have fun as I did...

You will need the 98+ fenders/hood/front bumper/foam absorber/headlights/turn signals/front lamps/and maybe a bracket or two...have fun.

only reason asking is i am going to buy a 96 bird with a 3.8 auto to turn into a drag car. i have my 94 camaro that is a drag car now, but during the winter it will be gutted from the firewall back. dont want to hull my car when i can buy one that needs it, and sell mine rolling.going to install a round tube chassis front to back. i like the way the latter models look with the front end.

My advice unless you get the body panels REALLY FREAKING CHEAP in a great deal like I did I would just buy a 98-02 trans am. Price them, its not that much more and you'd be getting an ls1. Even with how great of a deal I got on all my body parts I wish I would have just saved up for a 98+......but i'm to far in so yeah.
