what should i do? the front bumper of the bird has baked in bug marks or at least thats what it looks like. and is slightly off color to the hood. can anybody help me on how to deal with this? please

Sand/prep/paint it, that's pretty much your only option to get it looking right again. You can try wet sanding with 2000 and then hit it with a buffer (wool pad/polish then foam pad/swirl remover) but it won't make it right. The color will still be off and you probably won't be able to get all the bug marks completely gone without burning the clear....
