1999 Camaro SLP SS 4 Channel Rear End assembly, minus brakes with axles. It does make noise, however, we drove the car from Cleveland, TN to Cocoa Beach, FL for the southern string of the Hotrod Power Tour 2011. There is not metal in the oil. It has made noise since we have had the car. I would trust it to drive any where.
(This is still in the car and can be driven to hear the noise it makes. It will be stripped of the brakes.)
