Default LSx F-body turbo plumbing C6/truck mani hybrid, keeps AC

Category: Accessories
Price: $750
Part Fits: 93-02 Chevrolet Camaro, 93-02 Pontiac Firebird
Location (State): AL
Item Condition: Brand New
LS Engine?: Fits LS Engine

Up for sale is a custom fabricated turbo plumbing kit for LSx F-body's. It uses a C6 Corvette exhaust manifold on the passenger side, a "truck" exhaust manifold on the driver side, and was designed around a Turbonetics TC78 (or similarly sized T4 turbo). This allows the exhaust plumbing to be routed around the air conditioner compressor, where the more common "truck manifold" setup deletes the compressor. This kit was also designed to keep the stock radiator/condenser location, which means you don't have to do the "vertical radiator" mod, additional fabrication, or purchasing an aftermarket radiator. It does require the use of "pusher" style fans, which I also have. Since the exhaust plumbing is routed around the AC compressor, use of a BMR "turbo" K member is required. For me, it was a small price to pay to keep the AC, but you WILL NOT be able to reuse your stock K member.

I fabbed the plumbing with the engine on an engine stand, with the K member & steering rack attached, with the swaybar approximately in the installed location in an attempt to keep it as well. I have installed the plumbing while the engine was in the car and everything clears, but I did NOT reinstall the swaybar so I can't confirm that it does in fact retain it. I think it will, but I can't guarantee since I haven't tested it.

Now on to the details...

*Merge/crossover plumbing is 2.5" mild steel with a 2.5" v-band
*Downpipe is 3" mild steel with a 3" v-band for the turbo, and another 3" v-band for the two downpipe secions
*Exhaust plumbing is wrapped in DEI "Titanium" heat wrap - much nicer (and pricier) than the fiberglass type wrap
*C6 Corvette manifold IS INCLUDED, the driver side truck manifold IS NOT (C6 mani appears to be new, and are harder to find than truck mani's)
*Flanged for a 44mm wastegate (I planned to use a Tial)
*T4 turbo flange
*Keeps AC and radiator/condenser in stock location
*Designed around Turbonetics TC78, but similarly sized turbos should work too
*Everything is brand new, never used

SOLD

If you have any questions, please PM or email me I don't always have time to check up on threads I posted, but will get emails generated through PM's or the site's email feature.

Here are some pictures. I will preface this by saying the plumbing doesn't "hang down" nearly as low as some of the pictures make it look...it's just the angle I took the pictures from. The bottom of the plumbing is about flush with the bottom of the oil pan, or maybe a little higher.

Im going to keep the fans with the plumbing for a little while longer so that a potential buyer of the plumbing has the option to get a deal on fans theyll need to run anyway. Thanks for the interest.

I realize the truck mani is on the driver's side in this application, but is it normally a driver's-side manifold or a passenger-side manifold that you'd need to fit this kit on a lsx?

If installed in the factory position on a truck, itd be the passenger manifold.
