Just freshened ATI MRT 9" torque converter. Built for a LS1 with a TH400. I ran it last year and then changed converters this spring. I sent it to A-1 Performance to be cleaned and checked out when I had them build my new 10" converter.

Its got all the bells and whistles and can handle alot of power. It ran very well and netted me a 9.11 @ 152mph in my Turbocharged Camaro. The reason I changed it is that at about 900rwhp, it wasn't able to maintain its efficiency. At 700 rwhp it will stall about 5300-400 rpm. The car was fast as hell with this converter, I just ended up needing the 10".

From ATI's site:

Treemaster® MRT Torque Converters

Quick, consistent reaction times are essential to winning races and there's nothing better suited to the task than the highly efficient "MRT" (Minimum Reaction Time) Torque Converters from ATI. Each one is computer-mated to your combination to take full advantage of your engine's torque curve. Specific stator designs are used to achieve free speed when up against the converter and instant lock-up when using a brake. The MRT racing torque converter features ATI's fully investment cast cover which is twice as thick as the OEM stamped cover.

Again, it got a clean bill of health from A-1 Performance and has not been run since it was freshened up. This is for all intents and purposes a brand new converter...

This is what ATI says about this converter (asked them for specs of my SN):
Tightest 9" converter we make I have seen this converter used in 350-383ci chevy engines going 8.50's and 5.50's 1/8 mile and also 5.70's in a street type engine with a short cam and an 80mm turbo. I would sell this to either a small cubic inch engine that was big HP like a very good GN or a guy that has a short cam with a small a/r ratio turbo since it will have good bottom end to spool the turbo.

thank you,

The price is $550 shipped to the 48.
