This is a big block chevy 454 block that has been date coded for 1974. I think it was from a truck, but it's not so important (standard deck block). I build this a few years ago with big dreams of bracket racing a car i was going to build. then i got on a motorcycle and fell in love, I've lost interest in the car project, not to mention i was born into a life of poverty, and nobody in my family has a garage.... i digress.

It's bored .030" over (to 4.280) so there's another bore left in it. The crank is an eagle 4340 Internal balance 4.25" crank. we get 489 cubic inches there. Eagle H beam rods w/ hi-strength rod bolts. The pistons are SRP forged. Rings have been gapped etc. three piece oil scraper, not total seal rings. on a 117 cc combustion chamber, these pistons are around 10.4:1 compression. ARP Main Studs (2 bolt/stud main). High volume oil pump. milodon pickup. milodon 8qt oil pan. The engine has been stored. Mostly inside. i pulled the heads to make sure the cylinders were still good (see pic) and they're fine.

I have heads and cam and lifters, but i think i could get more selling in pieces, as it's never been run. They're pro topline 360cc intake port (rectange, obviously) Very big for this motor, but the cam is big too, i was gonna run higher rpms and love lope... Also got an edelbrock Victor Jr 454-R intake manifold. The latter picture is from years ago, but thats what it looked lika at one point... This whole deal is in eastern massachusetts.
