I have an 8.8 Mustang housing that was modified to fit a 4th gen f body. The 10 bolt tubes were cut down and slid into the ends of the 8.8 housing. This is a factory width rear. All machining was done on a lathe and tolerances are tight...built with precision. This is an excellent housing. It does need a provision for a TQ arm unless you plan to run a 4 link setup. I was going to put this in my F body but I'm going to be getting an 02 Z06 so I wont need this rear.

I can send pics to anyone who is interested in the process in which this was built. I have a roommate who works for Fedex so I can most likely get this shipped out dirt cheap. You can PM me or text for any additional info.

All you need to make this rear end complete is a differential and ring/pinion gear. If you use a 28 spline Track Lok you can use your STOCK F Body axles. The Fbody axles will fit right into the ford carrier. This can be a good and cheap bullet proof rear end.

It would not be hard at all. There are tons of people that have done it with ease. You can probably buy $25 in sheet metal and fab your own up easily. Hiltsy also makes a mount that you can weld. He supplies the metal all precut all you need to do is mount it.
