What you are looking at is a stock air lid base fused to an SLP top. I took this project on because I hated the way my SLP lid wouldn't seal correctly in the rear to the lower air box (even with that weather strip they give you). First I removed all of the baffles on the stock lid then i joined the slp top to the base of the stock lid. After that I finished the inside of the lid with 2000 grit wetsanding paper to give it a nice smooth surface for better air flow. With the paint process I used all PPG flexable paint products flexable primer, sealer, black base coat, flexable clear coat (three coats). The lid will come with a 27,000 mile stock maf sensor. The maf sensor has an aftermarket screen with larger 1/8" holes for better flow. To be honest the maf will not come out of the lid (press fit) but the sensor it self can be changed out by unbolting the maf ends.
