I purchased as an assembly that i was told destined for a street truck build that failed, the snout was milled to accept a factory wet sump.
I chose to disassemble it for inspection and rebuild.
everything looks to be break in only. factory rods pistons and rings are all still intact, only showing what looks to be break in runs only, rod,and main bearings were replaced but never ran on, and they look only hand turned after re assembly. cam is the stock LS7, push rods, cups and lifters match upper discription. The Heads however don't match a crate discription, they are NEW! Brand new never ran LS7 Full cnc'd heads complete with tit valves, springs and locks. the rockers do match the break in only discription i was told.
Everything stacks up to be real, I just have way to many projects now and some just need to go, it needs to be re assembled. can go back together with the rings and bearings(which are new)(hand spun) it came with or choose to buy all new. The block is at the the machinist getting the cylinders honed (clean up only from siting) and it will be ready to go.
I have two factory cranks, one cut for wet sump and one oe for dry that had very little miles , i was planning on going back to dry sump. that crank was sent out to be checked and only needed polishing. no cutting required. i have both oil pumps and front covers to support either one buyer chooses.
I only have a truck wet sump oil pan how ever.
This engine DOES look to have started out as a crate engine then broken down for this street truck project, re assembled used for mock up then shelved.
6500.00 gets it!
killer deal!
shipping is on the buyer> i can have crated for a fair fee.
paypal is accepted> but the fee's too are on the buyer.
