I had a custom Y-pipe made for my 2001 Trans Am with a 454 LSX with Kooks 2" headers. They tuck up as far as possible, and are only slightly lower than the trans crossmember. I loved being able to switch from full exhaust to open headers just by pushing a button. I do have the electric cutouts I can include (extra $$), but one of them is broken and needs to be sent back to QTP for repair.






What I have into this setup:
Kooks 3-1/2" Stainless Y-Pipe (Stock outlet) - $460
QTP 3-1/2" Stainless cutouts - $100
