Default MWC9 complete rear w/driveshaft (NY)

Category: Drivetrain
Price: $2900
Location (State): NY
Item Condition: Used
Shipping Information: Item Can be Shipped
LS Engine?: Fits LS Engine

Selling my Midwest Chassis Fabricated 9” rear end. I purchased this brand new and the rear has less than 500 (five hundred) miles on it (482 to be exact). It is in absolutely perfect (used) condition with not a single issue. The break in procedure was done EXACTLY how MWC recommends.

The rear end is essentially silent and makes NO gear noise that I can hear at all (and my car is pretty quiet). There has never been any significant power put through the rear and has only been used with a low compression NA motor (planned for turbo) on the street with 100% street tires (non-drag radials).

Currently the crossmember is for LT1 F-bodies, so if you want to put it in your LS1 F-body, you will need to purchase a new crossmember from MWC ($150-175 last I checked). The rear is fully assembled with LS1-style rear brakes (backing plates, calipers, brake lines, hardware, rotors, pads, and E-brake cables). This is a 100% drop-in ready unit needing nothing. I just removed it from my car last Thursday.

Here is the list of options on the rear with the prices (new) from MWC:

-MWC9, stock 4th gen F-body width (NOT narrowed): $2800 shipped (unassembled)
-Complete rear assembly +$150
-Powdercoated satin black +$130
-“Long” style chromoly torque arm (fully adjustable)
-Front crossmember for LT1 F-body (LS1 F-body style can be purchased from MWC for around $150)
-Backbrace +$150
-Strange aluminum centersection +$250
-Integrated LCA relocation brackets (4? Different LCA position options)
-Drain plug installed
-3.00 gears +$25
-Strange 31-spline axles
-Billet style posi (drives identical to stock, ZERO noise) +$250
-Strange billet yoke w/1350 joint
-3” long ½” diameter hardened wheel studs
-LS1 backing plates +$400
-No ABS

-Complete LS1 rear brake setup with E-brake cables ~+$150 (used price for calipers/pads/rotors)

-Includes every single nut/bolt (Grade 8) required for proper assembly

Total = $4305

You also get the benefit of not having the 12-week wait to get one

I also have a PST 3.5” aluminum driveshaft with exact length for this rear in a T56 car (LT1 or LS1) which was $500 new. I will take $350 for the driveshaft if purchased with the rear. If the buyer does not want the driveshaft, I already have a local buyer for it.

I have an account with R&L Freight and get pretty good rates on shipping. Prefer local pickup in Rochester, NY though.

I've been having some issues with paypal, so for now I will only accept cash in-person (if picking up) or a money order/cashiers check from your bank.

$3250 for everything (including driveshaft and complete brake setup)
$2900 for the complete rear (no driveshaft)

What's up Jason? Hey I might be interested in that PST shaft if you're willing to separate. What do you think you want for it?

I still have that Moser 9" I bought from you, but haven't installed it yet. Hoping to get it done next winter. Will this shaft work with that rear and the T56? Do you know what the dimension is from joint to joint? Let me know.

I ended up selling my car and this is one of the items left to sell.

I am open to reasonable offers on the setup as well...especially if I don't have to ship it. I'm flexible.

Thanks!

To the top with a lower price. This rear is essentially new and 100% complete ready to bolt in.
