I have a set of ROSS "Custom Boost" pistons on stock rods with ARP rod bolts.
These pistons were in my ARE LS1. The pistons are in decent shape. Ive pulled the rings, and done an intial cleaning of the grooves and tops. They are fairly clean. Some have some staining or light pitting...cant really tell, but I wasnt about to try to sand it or anything. Some also have some light marks on the skirts.
They are flat tops, with valve reliefs.
The rods are stockers, and were SUPPOSED to be resized. However the bearings said STD on them. Im not sure if they mark them for oversize though. Only if you had them undersized for crank machining. Not sure on that...I can give the number from the bearings if need be.
There are ARP bolts installed. Im not positive which part number they are off hand, but I think I have the receipt from when they were installed.
One of the rods is bent. The motor injested a little water at IDLE and stalled. It was only turned over once the plugs were out and oil was changed. AT that point, I heard some contact going on, so I began the tear down. The bent rod caused the counterweight to kiss the botton of the piston...it only nipped it. There is no reason for me to believe there is anything wrong with that piston, or any of the other 7 rods.
You will want new rings, and new bearings with these, so that stuff is long gone.
Here are some pictures. I put some detailed shots of the WORST piston as far as the skirt and "staining" goes. They will probably clean up with a little work.
Here is info I got from an email from ROSS regarding the Pistons XL387's.
-Piston net diameter = 3.901"
-Compression height = 1.330"
-Ring pack, 1/16", 1/16", 3/16"
-Valve pocket volume = 3.8 cc
Pictures...
Worst staining or whatever it is.
How about SOLD!? Ive stopped putting shipped prices only because its such a big difference between shipping from PA to MD or PA to CA. Ide rather not get screwed, and Ide rather the buyer not get screwed if I price it on the high end.
They are ready to go! I can probably ship within a day or so.

Not sure EXACTLY how many miles. I got the motor second hand, and the motor was built in 2001'ish. Ran for a while in a 4th gen vert. Then I got it and swapped it. If I had to guess, Ide say under 30k. But that's a total guess and probably an over estimation. During the period between 2001 and 2006 when I got it, it sat for a bit after the wreck. Always sat during the winter, and Its been out of commission for a couple years since Ive had it. So its probably spent more time sitting than being beaten on haha.
NEVER had any boost of N20 through it. Guy I got it from never got around to putting any juice through it. Car was wrecked during the tuning process.
While in my possession, it never saw the track. It was strictly my daily driver/cruiser. Ran hard now and then on the highway. Had a good tune, and never gave me any real problems. I suspect if I hadn't locked it up I would be driving it right now.
Aside from the skirt wear, and those couple of marks, they seem great.
