I have a brand new set of Motive 3.73 gears for a 12 bolt with a 3 series carrier. They were bolted up and taken right back off due to wrong series carrier. $150

I also have a used set of Richmond 4.56 gears for a 12 bolt with a 4 series carrier. $75

how can you tell if you have a 3 series carrier or 4 series carrier.. i have a moser 12 bolt with 4.10's and want to go to 3.73's but i dont know if they are a 3 or 4 series!! if i have a 3 series carrier i will take these off your hands but i just dont know how to tell.

Really, the only other way is to pull the carrier out and cross check the part number
