Just picked up a drag car with plans to currently drive as is but with future intentions of going with a turbo build. That being said this is just a feeler ad for interest in the complete LS7 / TH400 pullout. Specs per previous owner are as follows.
"The motor was a crate ls7 built by Lingenfelter performance, complete with dry sump oil system, has stock ported and polished heads, messier water pump, lingenfelter custom cam, lightweight 12.5:1 pistons, titanium rods, stock ported ls7 intake, motor made 671hp @ the crank n/a, has a built turbo 400 trans with an electronic trans break, new yank 3800 converter. It will run 9.90's all day on the ft break shifting at 6700 rpm. car will make power all the way to 8k. Just recently tuned by slowhawk performance and the car runs amazing. With a more loose converter, the car would definitely run 9.50's."
Drivetrain was built with just about the best of everything and pulls very hard and sounds down right mean. Being that bone stock LS7 pullouts are bringing around 10k on ebay and the crate motor alone from Lingenfelter is just shy of 20k I think somewhere around 13k would be reasonable for a complete 9-second drivetrain. Open to offers with/without accessories, dry sump, harness, PCM etc.

Honestly I don't know an exact number but was told by previous owner that trans and converter were just done last year and only ran 4 races this past season. Car was footbraked and shifted fairly early considering the powerband. Transbrake was supposedly used once and almost put the car in the wall, hence the reason for only using it once. Motor is super clean. I will try and get the car down to RPM and on the dyno in the next couple days. Had two people ask about rwhp and dyno sheets. Times seem to be proof enough to me, but I suppose dyno sheets are what everyone likes to see. As it sits car ran a best of 9.76 with the 3800 converter which IMO is too small but it was bracket raced so wasn't trying for all out times.
As for splitting up the drivetrain I prefer to sell as a complete package and go turbo/4l80 but would entertain offers on just the LS7 with dry sump. Feel free to call me if you have more questions.
