I have a t56 transmission for sale. It was already in my buddies car when he purchased it (procharged trans am) the t56 was already built to begin with, no real details on it at that time. Since then my buddy has rebuilt it a few times usually the input shaft went bad each time. All internals had been chryo treated, bronze shift fork pads have been installed also. He finally went to a th400. I purchased it from him and was going to rebuild it but i have decided to go witha magnum tr6060. The t56 is currently sitting at tick performance in north carolina. They have completely dissasembled the tranny. At this price bell housing is not included

Tick performance list of repairs needed

input shaft
counter shaft
1st 2nd 3rd 6th gears
1-2 3-4 5-6 syncro
2 shift fork pads

i am willing to sell this transmission the way it sits for $400 firm

good price for a core t56. lil over 2k all said and done for a nice built trans from tick.

just curious, how did you manage to take out 1,2,3 and 6th gear?

honestly I have no idea. The transmssion was actually shifting fine, the only reason we removed it was we went to change the oil and there was metal in it. So your guess is as good as mine.
