I have a rebuilt 4L70E with PCS Simple Shift controller brand new. I purchased the trans locally August 2013. The original owner had it to handle a Supercharged 5.3 Saab 9-7x. He sold it because the trans plug is a different plug from his factory harness. GM changed the plug in the 2009 year for some reason. I spoke with the builder before purchase and was told it should handle 650hp. I purchased the PCS Controller from Bowler brand new , but I have not installed as I decided I want a manual trans.
